Autocrave Show & Concert - First-everBilled more as a lifestyle event and concert than just your standard car show, the first ever Autocrave hit at the Pomona Fairplex in Pomona, Calif. Some of the hottest local cars showed up to represent at the show, with more pimped out Evos, S2000s, RX-7s and Scions than you could shake a stick at. Awards were given out for the top winners in JDM, DTM, Exotic, Truck, SUV and Bike, not to mention the requisite marquee winners for Nissan, Mazda, Subaru, Honda, etc.

Okada Projects of Japan recently introduced an innovative, highly effective and easy-to-install ignition Plasma Direct system, replacing the factory coils while promising to increase both horsepower and torque in less time than it takes to change out your spark plugs. In comparison to the factory coil, which delivers a single spark discharge. The Plasma Directs multiple spark discharge and improved spark energy yields improved ignition and greater combustion efficiency, all of which is beneficial for those driving high-horsepower machines-but is a limiting factor often overlooked when building your street machine.

Time attack race events did not begin in Japan, to the best of my knowledge, but their current popularity started there. It's become legendary, tuner-fueled battles with the hottest domestic (to Japan) metal strained to the limits of man and machine. Not only do the top tuning houses compete, but the top drivers in Japan are the ones driving those built machines as well. And the biggest crowd-pleaser of the entire year is also the first event, held in early spring at Tsukuba Circuit near Tokyo. This is one of the oldest and most popular circuits in Japan, a favorite of the drivers as nearly all have competed on it at one time or another.
