Now that our 10-year anniversary issue is officially in hindsight, your 2NR crew has finally gotten to the business of celebrating! To help commemorate our past, and usher in the new decade of all things import, 2NR's extended family-some of the tuning community's most influential personalities and organizations without whom we couldn't have made it this far-and hundreds of you, our dedicated readers, recently mobbed Hollywood's Arena nightclub en masse, proving once again who really owns this town. SoCal's Team Hybrid owned the event early-on, packing the club's lot full of First Place and Best of Show winning rides that you've been ogling at on our pages for the past year, along with a miscellaneous handful of R35s, track-prepped EVOs and STIs, and even some pro drift cars (thanks, Victor and Takatori-san!). Even our own Import Tuner/TEIN/Rock Star Super Lap Battle Lexus IS F made its official debut at the event... more on that next issue!

If there was a "Good Sport" or "The King of Mechanical Problems" award, it would go to Tyler. Whether it's transmission or engine problems, or a shifter coming out in his hand, Tyler's had more issues than an episode of the Jerry Springer show. But despite all that, he's always managed to crack a joke about his crappy situation. Talk about class. So here's to you Mr. McQuarrie: May next year bring with it a better ride and better luck. You deserve it! That, and a big hug.

What's next? "If I sell my Supra, I'll keep the motor, drop it into another car down the line and crank out 1,000-plus hp. But being from Europe and loving everything Japanese, the Rauh-Welt Porsches have caught my interest. Best of both worlds: Japanese styling in European form."

I am about to hurl.
Leaving Yokohama Station-a 20 minute train ride south of Tokyo-what was once a smooth drive on flat and relatively straight fields of Japanese pavement, turned into bumpy and very curvy, stomach wrenching asphalt. Now normally, I don't get car sick-far from it. The white noise and undulations from the road act like a hypnotic rocking chair, and I'm so relaxed that I usually have to fight falling asleep. But after eight days of working in Tokyo and the accompanying nights of drinking, I am exhausted, very hung over, and immensely regretting the fact that I volunteered to sit in the back of the TEIN STI.
